SCOPE AND DELIMITATION The main purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the barangay officials in rural areas specifically in Brgy. The respondents were any voting citizens of Barangay Magsaysay regardless of their gender, educational attainment, standard of living and status. It is only limited to the assessment on the performance on their designated functions as barangay officials. It is also limited to the registered voters during the October 2010 barangay election. Furthermore the assessment will cover the performance of elected officials within their term starting from October 2010- October 2013.
